Weekend Fun

Houston and I decided to start the morning out right and go and play at the Children's Museum. He loves it there and it was the perfect way to give Josh some extra time to study for finals. When he was younger we always stayed in the Tot Spot (a place for kids 2 and under) but now that he is older and more independent, he loves to check out all of the other exhibits first. It is so much fun to watch him enjoying himself and figuring things out on his own...plus it is all kid friendly!

A short stop to refuel!

That night we went over to our friends for a little Barbeque and then took the kids swimming. Houston and Isaac had a good time getting ready and making sure their goggles worked alright before hitting the water.

Apparently the party had already started without us, because there was a big group of people down at the pool blasting their inappropriate music and having a little too much fun. We were all getting a bit bothered by how they were acting, especially with two toddlers in the area. So my friend and I went over to talk to them, we figured it would be less threatening coming from 2 women (one of whom is 8 months pregnant) My friend asked them to turn their music down and that the way they were behaving wasn't appropriate around us or our children. We got a few dirty looks from the people, but they turned the music off and told us they were getting ready to leave anyway. (I don't think they wanted to feel the wrath of the pregnant lady)Within a few minutes the whole party had cleared out and we were left with peace and quiet. We had a great time after they were gone and a funny story to tell in the end. Hey, remember the time when we cleared out that whole pool party?...Nice!

Wow! You guys have guts! I'm so non-confrontational that I probably just would have left. Way to go!
