Spring Banquet
This Saturday the Optometry school had a Spring Banquet "The Golden Globe" at the Double Tree Inn downtown. It gave Josh and I a chance to get all dressed up and go out for a kid free evening. They had some appetizers for us to enjoy and my favorite thing of course...a chocolate fountain. Everyone had a chance to visit and snack and then they opened up the Banquet Hall for dinner. During dinner they had an awards ceremony and presented several students and faculty members with scholarships and plaques. Josh was recognized for the scholarship he received last year and awarded the Nelson Reber Eye Open Award for this semester. I was so proud of him, but couldn't for the life of me get a decent picture to post! After the awards ceremony they had a slide show and then a live band for everyone to dance to. It was fun to meet some of Josh's classmates and professors and to see everyone all dressed up. Thank you everyone for a great night at the "Eye Ball" - oh, Optometry Humor is awesome!

Getting dressed up and going out without kids is the BEST!! Looks like a very fun night, and I must say, I love the picture of you at the chocolate fountain, that's where I would've been the whole night!
