Fish Lake
Over Labor Day weekend we went with part of Josh's family and cousins up to Fish Lake for a few days. We had a great time fishing, playing games and enjoying the beautiful scenery. Houston spent every second he could outside exploring nature or going on rides in his Grandpa's truck. It was Houston's first time fishing and he was so excited to touch the worms and put the fish in the net. I wanted to get a picture with his first fish that he caught, but it was a little too bloody for him to hold it, so we decided to put it in the back. The weather was perfect for fishing and everyone had a good time catching and eating the fish!

Houston and his new best bud Chloe going for a walk. Houston didn't want to go anywhere without her and she was a HUGE help for Josh and I.

The cabin is always so much fun and I love all of the memories that we have been able to make each time we visit with our family. We love you guys and miss everyone that wasn't able to be there.

Sand Dunes
Josh had a full week before he started his Externship and so my brother decided that it would be fun to go on a family camping trip. We were planning on going up the canyon and then we found out it was the start of the Deer Hunt...so we went to Plan B which was the Sand Dunes! We were really excited to take Houston on his first camping trip and I don't think we could have picked a better place than a big sand box.

Houston was a bit scared of the four wheelers, but once we started going he LOVED it and we couldn't get him off! We had a blast riding all day and managed to escape with minimal sun burns. Thank you for such a great time, Houston wont stop talking about "his" yellow four wheeler.

Family Pictures
I wanted to have a few pictures of Houston taken before we left for Utah and decided that while we were at it, we might as well take some family photos too. Our good friend Brekke is an amazing photographer and agreed to come out in the MUGGY NASTY HUMIDITY and take our pictures. I loved how they turned out and had a hard time choosing which ones to show off.....so be prepared for A LOT of pictures!!

Breaking DAWN

While my husband was putting up pictures about Houston on our blog he thought he would be funny and post about Breaking Dawn at the same time. I didn't think he was being serious and so I didn't even look at the blog after he was done (I was in the other room reading Breaking Dawn!) He did go to all the trouble of putting in a picture, so I might as well use it.
My friend Tara and I decided that we were going to go to the midnight book release and had a blast! Of course, unlike Utah, we were some of the only "Twilight Mom's" there...but we didn't care. We had fun answering questions and getting our "I was bitten by Breaking Dawn" pins. We got our books at 12:05am and were off to another friend's house to bring her a book, visit and eat some chocolate!
I finished the book yesterday, so I want to know....What did you think? Texas ladies, I think we are going to give everyone time to get back from vacation and do a book discussion/Girls Night Out- so be prepared.
