Baby Shower x 3

Monday our friends threw an amazing Baby shower for Kerry, Audrey and I. Kerry is due soon and Audrey and I tend to go early, so they wanted to make sure we were well taken care of. It was great to get together with everyone to visit, enjoy wonderful food and celebrate the coming of our little ones. Thank you so much for all of your love and support, you guys are the best!!

Busy Weekend

This was an eventful and busy weekend. We were able to show our condo a few times to some potential buyers, we went to a double birthday pool party, a farewell party, and Josh took his last set of boards (his friend Jon flew in for the weekend as well to take those boards and became one of Houston's good friends (see last picture.)

Houston was very excited to be able to use his water wings that his Nana Cook gave him for his birthday. He didn't even care that it was too stormy to get in the water.

Yes, he wouldn't even take them off to eat (he needed a fork to eat his pizza), get in his car seat, or go to bed. We did draw the line at sleeping with water wings on.

Brooke enjoying her cute cow cake.

It took a while for us to get Houston away from all of the slip-n-slide fun and have some dinner. Good times!

Happy Easter

It has been so fun watching Houston get more and more excited for things. We saw the Easter bunny at the store and told Houston he would be coming to visit soon. When he woke up we told him that the Easter Bunny had stopped by and left eggs all around the house for him to find. Whenever he found an egg he would ask if he could eat the candy, but we told him he had more eggs to find first. I think he would have been just as excited about one egg, as long as he got to eat the candy...the boy loves his sweets!

Josh's List

1. Never make another list to post on my wife's blog.
2. Never ask any of my friends to take a picture of the contents of their purse and post it on their wife's blog.

Easter at Playgroup

This Wednesday we had a little Easter egg hunt for playgroup. The kids had a great time hunting for eggs and enjoying the Easter treats!

Waiting for the hunt to begin

The reaction I got when I asked if I could take his picture...at least he said "No Thank you!"

Fire Trucks and Dog Rescues

Last Saturday Houston and I were at home and we could hear fire trucks off in the distance. They kept getting closer and closer until it sounded like they were right outside our window. When Houston ran to our balcony window we could see two fire trucks pulling into our complex. Right then Brooke came home from running some errands and asked if we knew what was going on and if we saw the smoke. In the building next to ours someone's third story unit had caught on fire and the owner ran back in to save her dog. We are not sure if she is OK, but the news trucks were there later and this is what they had to say:

Houston was ready for the fire trucks to be gone after they had been there for about 3 hours so that we could go on a car ride (The fire trucks were blocking us in). The fire never progressed past the one unit, but we hope that this poor lady ends up being alright. What people will do for their pets!

Fried Food & Fun!

WARNING: THE FOLLOWING IMAGES ARE NOT FOR THE FAINT OF HEART!

For those of you not familiar with the rodeo food here, you can get just about anything and I do mean ANYTHING fried. We tried the Oreos last year, so this year we were set on a Twinkie and maybe a Snickers to share. Little did we know that unless you have cash, the minimum purchase is $10! We had already ordered, so we had to add another item to make the limit. So Josh and I ended up with a fried Twinkie,Snickers and Cookie Dough....good think we walked to the rodeo. They ended up being really good, even though we couldn't finish everything.

Josh and I always try and take advantage of the cheap rodeo tickets and concert, it makes for a great date night and awesome entertainment. This year we went to see Keith Urban, along with a few of our good friends. We had a blast watching the rodeo/concert, especially the Mutton busting and the calf scramble. (Hey, are we still going to buy a sheep and train the kids for next year?)
