Last Saturday Houston and I were at home and we could hear fire trucks off in the distance. They kept getting closer and closer until it sounded like they were right outside our window. When Houston ran to our balcony window we could see two fire trucks pulling into our complex. Right then Brooke came home from running some errands and asked if we knew what was going on and if we saw the smoke. In the building next to ours someone's third story unit had caught on fire and the owner ran back in to save her dog. We are not sure if she is OK, but the news trucks were there later and this is what they had to say:

Houston was ready for the fire trucks to be gone after they had been there for about 3 hours so that we could go on a car ride (The fire trucks were blocking us in). The fire never progressed past the one unit, but we hope that this poor lady ends up being alright. What people will do for their pets!

Cooker,
You and I need to go on a walk and have story time again. This was a great story!! Remember when we used to tell the same story over and over again. We have 10 years of new stories we can talk about. Bring Potter when we go on this walk!
