Rodeo Time is here at last!

We love the Houston Rodeo and look forward to it all year long, especially since it is just down the street. This year we took the kids down on opening day and they all had so much fun that they didn't want to leave.

I thought it was funny that the kids were so excited to play on these foot massaging chairs, you would have thought they were sitting on a Carnival ride!

Houston with "Howdy" the rodeo masscott (he is a big letter H in case you were wondering)

They had the cutest new exhibit this year, where kids got to go through a day on the farm. At each station they had things they would do on a farm and then they would pick up an item from each area. They collected an egg for feeding the chickens, a vegetable for working in the garden and other goods that they would turn into the market at the end. Houston's favorite part (besides the little tractor) was that with the pretend money they gave him, he got to buy a juice box. I thought that it was so cool how they had it set up and couldn't believe that they got a real prize at the end.

I think one of my favorite things was when we went down as a family on Saturday and Josh took him on this little flying car ride. He was smiling and laughing so hard, it was totally worth the extra money!

Mother of Two....

We are extremely excited to announce that there will be a new member of the Cook family July 23rd! Considering the fact that I am almost 20 weeks along, we were really looking forward to our first doctor's appointment. Josh was able to take time off from his externship to be there, so that made it really nice. Dr. P was great and made sure that we got a good look at the heart, spine and the rest of our healthy little baby. So now to the part you really want to know about- What are we having?........

If that arrow wasn't a dead give away, it's pointing to what you think it's pointing to- We are having another BOY!!! (Sorry if the picture offends anyone, but it is the only picture we have)

I am pretty sure that I am the only one that thought I was having a boy, well besides my dad. But part of that may have been due to the fact that everyone thought I was having a girl and I wanted to go against the grain, who knows? But we are excited to have another boy to be Daddy's little helper & fishing buddy. Now we just need to come up with a name.....Any ideas?

Happy 3rd Birthday Houston!

I promise I didn't forget my child's Birthday or what day it was (Feb. 3rd)....we just thought it would be fun to have a combined party with his buddy Isaac. The two of them are only a few weeks apart and both of them LOVE cars!

Heather made our cute invitations

Saturday we got together with a bunch of our friends at one of the parks near by and celebrated the big event. The boys had a blast running around and testing out all of the playground equipment before everyone got to the party. I wish I could take credit for the awesome playground pictures....Thanks Heather!

Houston could hardly wait for his friends to come so that he could have a juice box and his racetrack cake. The boys watched us make the cake the night before and it was all they could talk about.

Trying to light the candles was a bit of a challenge with the wind, so we just decided to sing and let them eat the cake instead. (Besides, they both got to blow out candles the night before)

Houston was so excited about his presents, he wanted to go straight home and play with everything.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY HOUSTON AND ISAAC!

Thanks to all of our amazing friends for making this such a fun day for our birthday boys!

Children's Museum Fun

We haven't been to the Children's Museum since we have been back home and were excited to check out some of the new exhibits. Houston's favorite place was the flow works water area outside, he loved checking out the new toys and playing in the water.

Guys and their Cars...

Houston and I got to go for another father-son outing at the Houston Auto Show. I don't think that either of us could have had more fun. Houston had a blast seeing all of the different cars as well as driving in his own little police car later on. He loved how he could sit in all the new cars and push his stroller around the whole time. It was great for me just seeing that kid so happy. I loved it and look forward to more times just like this.

Cook Family Pictures

While everyone was together for the Holidays we took a few family pictures, Houston now thinks that all family pictures are taken outside in the freezing cold! We didn't get too many shots, but it was a fun family adventure!

For being 12 degrees, Houston and Cannon were pretty good sports about being outside and having to take pictures. But by the time we took this picture both of them were definitely done and in tears, so this picture turned out pretty well considering. It was fun spending time together as a family, even if it meant standing in a pile of snow- We love you guys!
