Highway to the Danger Zone

I have never been to an Air show before and was excited to hear that Fort Richardson Air Force base has a free show every few years to show military appreciation. They had a lot of fun activities for the kids and we had a great time watching the trick planes and jets. FYI earplugs are a must!

Breaking the sound barrier!

Testing out the ear plugs.

Like most kids at an air show, you need to bring your own plane. Houston pulled off a few tricks that no Blue Angel would ever dare try.

Jaxson had fun watching the planes, but kept trying to eat his earplugs.

The Blue Angles only come every 2 years to Fort Rich. It was quite the show seeing them up-close and personal.

How fun. I have only been to 1 air show, but that was a long time ago, with no kids. I dated a Air Force guy when I was in collage, so we hung at the base in Ogden all the time. lol. Sounds lame, but it was fun.

LOVE the blue angels! We saw them two years ago in Tennessee and it was an awesome show! Loud, but impressive!

Thanks for sharing your photos! I was one of the first babies born at Elmendorf AFB, father stationed there in the late 40's. Lived on many AF bases until the age of 12, when my father retired. Last base was Wheelus AFB, Tripoli Libya, where all the "jet jockies" would be sent for all their bombing training (on the Sahara Desert). Used to watch paratroopers at Ft Bragg NC, and lots of military parades, sort of miss being around those types of things now. Closest place is Everett Naval Station, Everett Wa or NAS Whidbey.
Thanks for the memories!

Really, has it been that long since you guys moved? Jaxson is so big now. Time goes too fast for me. Love the Blue Angels too.
