Playgroup Easter Egg Hunt
A few of the ladies in our ward put together an Easter Egg Hunt for the kids today and it turned out great! Several of the Mom's went and hid the eggs and the rest of us entertained the children while we waited. We decided that it would probably be best to have the younger children (2 and under) go first, to give them a chance before the older kids came in. Houston was in the first group and seemed very excited to get out and find the eggs; the only problem was that the first egg he came to was open with all of the candy showing. Surprisingly he didn't do what I thought he would...which is eat all of the candy! Instead he decided to put all of the M&M's one by one in his bucket and then moved on. When he went to open the next egg and do the same thing, I explained that he could put the whole egg in his bucket and we would open them later. That seemed to make sense and he started picking up all of the eggs he could find. He ended up filling his whole bucket, which is more candy than he needed...so I passed along a few of the extras when he wasn't looking. After the hunt was over, we got to enjoy the cute bunny cakes Tara made and let the kids enjoy a few of their goodies. Thank you again guys, the Easter Egg Hunt was a definite success!
